We began cleaning and painting in October.

We moved in, early in November.

We installed new sanctuary seating in January.

And we were looking forward to introducing ourselves to the neighborhood this spring.

Then the pandemic interrupted...

So we’d like to introduce ourselves to you, here. And we would love to hear from you, if you would like to reply to introduce yourself—and perhaps share any needs that we can be praying about for you (you can email our pastor, here).

Christ Church RP is a congregation with members from across the westside of the city and the western suburbs. We rented space in Brownsburg prior to moving into our present location at 5075 N. Raceway Road. There are many churches in the area, and we are happy to be among them. Our particular distinctives include a commitment to the historic doctrines of the reformation, our emphasis on reverent worship and expository preaching, and that our worship songs are all Psalms from the Bible set to music (see here).

Our pastor, Michael LeFebvre, previously worked as a freelance business writer before studying for the ministry. He has an MDiv from the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary and a PhD in biblical studies from the University of Aberdeen. He is the author of several books, including Our Triune God co-authored with Phil Ryken, Joy that Perseveres (a devotional commentary on the book of Ecclesiastes), Singing the Songs of Jesus, and several Bible study guides in the Knowing the Bible series.

Hopefully, you already have a church home. We desire to be supportive of other churches in the community and encourage you to remain faithful to your present church family, if you have one. However, if you are looking for a church home, come visit one of our services (bring your own folding chair for one of our socially spaced, outdoor services on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m., weather permitting) or view some of our recent messages on Christian Growth from home (here). Also feel free to reach out through email if you have questions about the church or about the Christian faith.

One way or another, we hope to find opportunity to meet you in the future, and we hope to be good neighbors for many years to come. If we can pray for you in any way, please do not hesitate to let us know!

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Matthew 11:28-30
